This is one of those pages where I don't really know how readers will react! I'm a little concerned! I'm not sure if people are going to be like, "Ugh, I can't believe Rachel would do that!" or "Wait, why is Jasper freaking out?"

This is another area of the transmasc experience that I've read plenty about but which falls a bit outside my personal experience. As I mentioned earlier, my primary fear in transition is that I will inconvenience others or make them uncomfortable, so the idea of someone enthusiastically participating in my transition is a positive thing for me. (Also I am trans, lazy, and greedy and would like people to make clothes for me while I sit around and do nothing.) But I know a lot of trans folks would be uncomfortable with others making such a fuss over them, and I think Jasper is one of those people. Rachel's impulse to play dress-up with Jasper also potentially falls in the "infantilizing trans men" trope, to which I will say--this will be addressed! I'm not intending to present this as a 100% positive thing.
