Last Tuesday was the U.S. presidential election. It's sorta weird to address something so Real and Important on a webcomic blog, but I'd just like to say that if you're feeling scared or hopeless right now, I feel for you and I am right there with you. And if you wanna vent about it on Twitter or on the forum, I am as always weirdly overeager to talk politics. If you are not feeling scared or hopeless about the election results, I urge you to please allow the people who are to feel their feelings. Now is not a good time to be vindictive. Or to force positivity on people.
Moving forward, I would like to encourage you guys to look to 2018--that's when midterm elections are. For some of you this may be your first election. Midterms aren't presidential elections, and that may sound like a super big bummer to you, but they're actually really important! The midterm elections give you an opportunity to choose who's going to be in the Legislative branch of the government. Again, that may not sound as important as the president, but believe me, the House and the Senate wield a massive amount of power. Both are majority Republican this time around, but we don't have to wait four years if we want to change that up.
