The man who smells of peppermint speaks in a voice of infinite calm. It is not a loud voice, but it is one you can hear even across a crowded room--or, in this case, past a rowdy, screaming mob. It is patient and warm and confident. It is, in other words, the exact opposite of this.
With that said, I am terrible at finding exact voice casting. I've gotten more than a couple questions in the past about which actor I might cast for the main characters in The Glass Scientists, and I usually respond by nervously shouting out all the Doctor Who actors I know. I'm sure there are lots of British actors who can do a "warm, calm, but surprisingly hypnotizing," voice, right? But every single one of them is slipping my mind right now.
