Some lovely voice suggestions came in last week! Thank you all for that! I'm still sorting through a few of them--in particular, Harry Bentley provided a lovely long list that I would like to carefully sift through when I get the chance. So far, I feel that Tom Hiddleston comes the closest to what I imagine for the man who smells of peppermint--in the few interviews I've watched, at least. He has the most delightful smile! Speaking of smiles,  I like to describe this character's presence with a bit from The Great Gatsby*: "He smiled understandingly–much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced–or seemed to face–the whole external world for an instant, and then concentrated on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favor. It understood you just so far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself and assured you that it had precisely the impression of you that, at your best, you hoped to convey." *A) have you read the Great Gatsby lately?
