I went to the Los Angeles Women's March! I wasn't able to bring a sign because I suck both at sign-making and slogan-settling-on (I was looking for something that said, "I'm Catholic! but in a social-justice way, not in an violently-anti-abortion kinda way.") but lots of other people made very clever signs.
On the street, I was a little worried that not many people showed up, since, on the ground, the crowd looked big but not exactly massive. But apparently, the Los Angeles march was big enough that it overflowed its original march route and spilled out into several tributary streets. The L.A. Times reported between 500,000 and 750,000 people!
On an unrelated note, here's my biweekly freak out about the color work on this page: I hate the color work on the first panel so much! I think the system I have for coloring and shading characters doesn't work so well on clumps of characters grouped closely together. I feel like I really just overworked this panel and missed some simple solution that I could have arrived at had I not locked myself into this coloring system. Maybe I can fix it later? I don't know! I hope you don't hate it as much as I do!
