Me, a year ago: *commits self to drawing this odd, bulky scarf on top of Frankenstein's already bulky coat for the rest of the comic*
Me: Hey why did you do that
Anyone who's read Volume I of the Glass Scientists may recognize this scarf from the bonus story! This scarf has actually existed for longer than the comic itself. I first drew an image of Frankenstein draping a massive striped scarf over the Creature around my second year of college. I would show you that image . . . if I could find it. This is your friendly reminder to organize your art folders! You may think you remember which of the massive layered monstrosities labeled something like "NovSketches2011" houses the only full-resolution version of your most favorite illustration from your college years, but let me assure you that ten years down the line you absolutely will not.
(It helps that nowadays, I draw non-comic, non-work art so rarely that it's extremely easy to keep track of.)
Unrelated news: I just got back from Godzilla Minus One. I'm a little late to the party, but . . . it's really good. It made me want to be a better writer and a better person. Go see it if you haven't already!
