I found some time today to create sketches for some of my pre-order rewards! These will look much prettier and more polished when they're done, but I wanted to show y'all my progress so far:

First, we have the enamel pin! In my limited experience, the pin designs I like tend to use very limited color palettes and simplified shape/detail work to read from such a small size. That's a pretty big challenge for a fairly naturalistic comic like TGS, but early in my cover design process, my editor prompted me to generate some designs that were simpler and more iconic. We ended up going in a different direction, but I really liked this one (I simplified it down further for the pin version), so I'm excited to be able to show it off in another medium.

Second, we have the bookplate! For those unfamiliar, a book place is essentially a fancy sticker placed on the inside flap of the book that the author (me) can sign and dedicate however you would like. For this image, I was thinking back on those old pin-up drawings I did of the cast. That was so much fun! "Sad, sexy boys lounging around looking sad and sexy for no reason" is sadly not something that will fit into the main book (although the bonus story in Book 2 will get a bit spicy....) but that's the great thing about the pre-order rewards! It's spicy indulgent fun for the folks who will appreciate it most! 

I'll post more updates as I work on new designs and clean these ones up. If anyone knows a good company for printing enamel pins, let me know! And in the meantime, don't forget to pre-order to receive these gifts and more, once they're finished!
