Q: Why should I pre-order?
Pre-ordering is the best way to support creators you love while receiving exclusive gifts! Pre-orders are incredibly important for authors like me. Nowadays, publishers can only afford to support and promote a few books per year--the equivalent of blockbusters in Hollywood--while leaving everyone else to fend for themselves. That's easy to do if you have a Youtube channel with millions of subscribers, but not so easy for the rest of us. If you've enjoyed this comic over the (oh Lord) last nine years, pre-ordering is the best way to support my work while also getting exclusive prints, stickers, and more!
Q: What pre-order gifts will I receive?
I am in the process of finalizing the pre-order gifts, but I am currently planning to offer:
- One exclusive 8x6 double-sided print—That’s two prints in one!
- One signed bookplate
- One vinyl sticker
Q: How do I pre-order The Glass Scientists: Volume II?
1. Pre-order from any vendor of your choosing, including Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Bookshop.org, or your local independent bookstore.
2. Fill out the pre-order gift form. (The pre-order gift form is not online yet—I’ll post an update when it’s ready to go!)
3. Wait for your book and gifts!
Q: Where should I pre-order The Glass Scientists: Volume II in order to be eligible for pre-order gifts?
You can pre-order from any vendor of your choosing, including Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Bookshop.org, or your local independent bookstore.
However, PLEASE NOTE that pre-order rewards are shipped separately from the book itself. You must fill out the separate pre-order reward form in order to receive your gifts—see instructions below!
Q: What if I want a signed or personalized book??
US-based can ask for a signed book or personalized dedication if you order directly from Chevalier's Books (and support my local indie bookstore in the process!). Due to high shipping costs, I won't be able to offer signed/personalized books to international readers, but I'm hoping to offer digital signed/personalized bookplates for those who would like them. Please check back here soon for more info!
Q: What if I already pre-ordered TGS: Volume II? Do I still get the rewards?
Yes, anyone who orders The Glass Scientists: Volume II at any time can claim their pre-order rewards. All you have to do is fill out the pre-order gift form when it goes public!
Q: Who is eligible for pre-order gifts?
All US-based readers are eligible for pre-order gifts!
Q: Can international (non-US) readers pre-order?
This time around, I'm afraid I will not be able to offer physical pre-order gifts to international readers for this campaign (mostly due to shipping costs). However, I want to find some way to thank my many amazing readers from all over the globe, so I do plan to offer some form of digital rewards! Those rewards are still in progress, but I will definitely be able to offer the double-sided print as two hi-res digital prints, and I should also be able to offer signed and/or personalized digital bookplates (not as nifty as physical signed books, but if you want me to hand-write you a personal message or doodle, I can do that for you!)
Q: When will my pre-order gifts arrive?
Pre-order gifts arrive separately from the book itself and will likely begin arriving a couple weeks after you receive your book. We're changing up the system this time, so I don't know exactly what the timeline will look like right now, but you can always reach out to me (glitterygothic @ gmail . com) if you have any questions or concerns!

Q: What's included in Volume II?
Volume I collects Chapters 8-12 of The Glass Scientists and also includes an all-new bonus story, concept art, art tips, and more!
Q: I'm an international reader, and my Amazon order of The Glass Scientists has been indefinitely delayed! What should I do?
This is a strange problem that has been happening for a few people with Amazon! Many people have been able to fix the problem by either cancelling/refunding their order and then placing a new order, or ordering from a local bookstore instead!Cancelling and re-ordering The Glass Scientists on Amazon will NOT affect your eligibility for pre-order rewards! You do NOT have to re-submit your pre-order gift forms!
